Happy Gummy Bears & Fish
We enjoyed some homemade gummy bears and worms in the last blog, but now we need to elevate that gummy happiness.
Y’all, you’re going to have so much fun making these gummies. Even better, make some every week.
They are definitely a healthier option compared to the store-bought ones. What could be better than three ingredients, right?
There is a very happy little girl right now. Sweet little Kelsey from Light My Heart loves her candy, and now she has four really fun recipes to make with her mom.
She’s still trying to decide if she wants to share the yummy candy with her friends. She did have a very long conversation with her stuffed animals and they all agree, that sharing is caring.
BUT then Sarah had the perfect plan…they would just make extra.
I like the way Sarah thinks. Extra gummies or chocolates are always the right answer.
When I made the first gummy recipe, I really didn’t know how the tea would make the gummies taste. I honestly was surprised; they’re really good.
Plus, what a great option. If you look at the store-bought gummy bears the list of ingredients is very long. This recipe, though…just three ingredients. Awesome!
Here are a couple of extra notes- this gummy recipe uses different flavored tea. Pick your favorite and get creative.
If you don’t have honey, no worries, just use granulated sugar or your favorite low carb/keto sugar.
Have fun making the gummy bears! As you can see, there are no rules for happy candy fun!

Happy Gummy Bears & Fish
Recipe by Terra Kelly
Prep: 5-10 minutes
Cook: 2-4 minutes
Inactive: 10-15 minutes
Makes: 140 Gummy Bears
108 Gummy Fish
106 Mini Gummy Bears
This recipe uses silicone molds.
Ingredients
3 cups water, boiled
6 tea bags
9 Tbsp honey
12 Tbsp unflavored gelatin powder (or beef gelatin powder)
Directions
Note: *Divide ingredients for different flavors (recipe listed below).* Also, for this recipe I used cinnamon tea, chamomile lemon tea, and apple cider tea (you can use your favorite tea). I also have flavored honey, but you can use your favorite honey (or agave nectar). You can also omit honey and add granulated sugar (see notes below).
For the first flavor: 1 cup of water, bring to a boil. Add two tea bags to hot water. Let the tea steep for about 5 minutes.
Next, in a pan over medium-low heat, add the tea, 3 Tbsp honey, 4 Tbsp gelatin. Stir frequently until the honey and gelatin have dissolved.
Remove the pan from the burner. Use a dropper or a syringe to transfer the gummy mixture to each individual mold.
*Repeat process for two more flavors.
Once the mold is filled place it in the refrigerator for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
Once the gummies are set pull the mold out of the refrigerator. You can now easily pop each gummy out of the mold with your thumb.
Enjoy a handful…or two.
Note: This recipe uses 3 Tbsp honey. If you use granulated sugar, use 4 Tbsp.
